What steps are involved in installing seeMore?

seeMore uses wizards to assist in the installation of both the client and server components, making the process simple and easy. Typically and installation will take only a matter of minutes.

What steps are involved in implemeting seeMore?

The seeMore user interface is designed so that you can quickly import data schemas and create a custom view of your data. The first step is to identify data sources and which tables in those data sources you want to access. Once the tables information has been imported into the seeMore Designer, you can decide if you want to change the table names for clarity since report writers and other applications will use them. Using the seeMore Designer, you can create alternate views and virtual tables.

How much memory does seeMore require?

By architecting seeMore from the ground up, we were able to create a highly efficient operating environment. seeMore requires the following system resources:

Disk	Approximately 5 MB (the client drivers are about 300K; the remainder is documentation)	10-50 MB (O/S Dependant)
System Memory	32 MB	32 to 40 MB (Depending on server options)
Processor	Pentium class or RISC	Pentium class or RISC

It is seeMore's intent to provide seeMore with the ability to run on the widest range of systems in use today.

What version of Java is supported?

seeMore supports Java 2 (Java 2 Platform, version 1.4 minimum)

What databases and data formats can seeMore interact with?

seeMore currently supports a number of data source types including Non-relational (Flat files, CISAM/DISAM, COBOL, XML), Relational (SQL), Object based, Application data and Generic (using JDBC, ODBC, OLE DB).

seeMore's open architecture allows it to be used with a broad range of commercial and internally developed applications (such as Report Writers, Business Intelligence Tools and Application Servers) which use the following APIs (Application Program Interfaces).
